Job Description

My Dublin based is looking for a Service Desk Support Engineer to join their expanding team in South Dublin.

Service Desk Support Engineer


  • 3rd Level Qualification in Computer Studies
  • Excellent Problem Solving & Analytical Ability
  • Ability to Work on Own Initiative
  • Excellent Organizational and Administration Skills
  • Highly Motivated
  • Ability to Respond Quickly in a Dynamic Environment
  • Ability to Follow Through Tasks to Completeness
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent Attention to Detail
  • Good Geographical Knowledge of Ireland
  • Fluent English speaking and writing
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communicator


Technical Skills Required:


  • A good working knowledge of IT systems including Networking,
  • Active Directory etc
  • Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • Windows 7/8/10
  • MS Office
  • TCP/IP Networks
  • Routing
  • Firewalls/VPN
  • Email Protocols POP3/IMAP/SMTP
  • Troubleshoot desktop, network, printer faults
  • Desired, But Not Essential Skills
  • Solarwinds MSP
  • Linux CLI experience, clearing print jobs etc..
  • Technical Industry Certifications e.g. MSCA
  • Working knowledge of Virtual platforms such as HyperV,
  • vSphere and/or Xen
