My Dublin based client is currently recruiting for a Head of Technology to join their team on a permanent basis and working on a hybrid model.

My Dublin based client is currently recruiting for a Head of Technology to join their team on a permanent basis and working on a hybrid model. The Head of Technology will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology solutions that align with the Company’s strategic objectives. This role will position directs the planning, implementation and support of the organisation IT Infrastructure, it’s Information Systems and 3rd party solution providers in support of its operations to improve cost effectiveness, service, quality and mission development.

You will be responsible for strategizing and implementing IT infrastructure, systems, and governance across the business. This is a great opportunity to join a unique business that offers great autonomy and challenging projects. This role offers a hybrid working model.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning   

  • You will participate in strategic & operational governance processes of the Company as a member of the senior management team.
  • Drive the IT strategy, IT governance, IT risk management solutions for the business.
  • You will develop & maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business.
  • You will manage & provide functional leadership to the IT team.
  • You identify opportunities for the appropriate & cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems & resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, & in-house development.
  • You will develop, track, & control annual operating & capital budgets for IT whilst also developing business case justifications & cost/benefit analyses for IT.
  • You will communication of IT strategy & report on the performance of the IT Function to the board of directors, the Technology sub-committee of the board, senior management, and the employees of the Company.

 Acquisition & Deployment

  • You will coordinate & facilitate consultation with all relevant stakeholders to define business & systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • You will approve, prioritise, & control projects & the project portfolio for major information systems.
  • You will define & communicate corporate plans, policies, & standards for acquiring, implementing, & operating IT systems.
  • You will oversee the performance, budget & service levels of key external information technology service providers.

            Operational Management

  • You will oversee the development of corporate standards, technology architecture, technology evaluation &transfer sponsor the business technology planning process manage client relations, align IT with the business & develop financial management systems.
  • You will oversee plans to reinvest in the IT infrastructure.
  • Establish and oversee strategic relationships with external partners and vendors to effectively implement the IT/IS Strategy.
  • Ensure the IT system operation and Data Management adheres to applicable laws and regulations.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT management roles
  • Experience with IT strategy and planning
  • Strong knowledge across IT hardware, software, and data
  • Proven ability to manage an IT team
  • Knowledgeable of IT & Data policies, regulations, and procedures

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Proven ability to manage an IT team

Educational Requirements

  • Third level qualification in IT or relevant field
