Job Description
I have a fantastic opportunity with a leading Irish client for an experienced Service Delivery Expert to join the team as a Head of IT Service Delivery in a brand-new leading position.
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Head of IT Service Delivery to manage a team of 30-40 on-site staff members, including environment people, application support, Oracle and Linux support. This position requires technical expertise in cloud, O365, Azure, and Microsoft environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy environment, including weekly change processes, upgrades, patching, and software releases every fortnight. You will require excellent stakeholder management and vendor management skill to be successful in this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the IT Service Operations team and manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring service levels are met
- Provide technical expertise and support for cloud, O365, Azure, and Microsoft environments
- Manage a busy environment, including weekly change processes, upgrades, patching, and software releases every fortnight
- Manage the team responsible for environment people, application support, Oracle and Linux support
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in financial services
- Conduct regular audits of risk and compliance
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless operations
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and implement changes to enhance service delivery
- Mentor and develop staff members to achieve professional and personal goals
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Ensure the team provides excellent customer service to all users.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in IT service management and IT operations management
- Excellent technical expertise in cloud, O365, Azure, and Microsoft environments
- Experience in managing a team responsible for environment people, application support, Oracle and Linux support.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services, insurance, or pharma industries
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience with conducting audits and risk assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
- Financial services, insurance or pharma background preferred
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Educational Requirements
