Job Description

My Dublin based financial services client requires a Head of IT Governance and Operational Risk to come in at Senior Management level reporting to the CTO.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage an IT department including specialists within the following spaces:
    • IT Governance
    • Business continuity
    • Error Management
    • PPMO Planning
    • Financial Management
  • In depth review of IT standards regarding policies and procedures
  • Lead the annual IT budgeting process
  • Create roadmap for IT to deliver initiatives
  • Nurture a productive team spirit across the entire workplace
  • Oversee recruitment within the IT sector
  • Responsible for operational resilience and IT governance controls
  • Collaborate with CTO, key senior management and project sponsors

Experience Required

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous control of IT Governance/ security design/ GRC implementation
  • Previous financial services experience is a bonus
  • CGEIT qualification is desired but not essential
  • Technical experience of IT delivery
  • Wide knowledge of IT regulatory environment across operational resilience and IT governance

Educational Requirements

  • A third level qualification from a recognised institute
  • Knowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance technology
  • A certification in: CRISC, CISM, CISO, CGEIT and CISA
