My Dublin based client is recruiting for a Head of IT Business Solutions. This is a brand new role within the company. You will lead and steer an IT team who specialize in the areas of provision of corporate business IT solutions such as ERP, CRM, & Data Warehousing. Also general business IT application management. This role will be working off a hybrid model. The Head of IT Business Solutions will report to the group CIO and will work closely with all areas of the IT department to deliver IT business solutions services to the company and in parallel, the Head of IT Business Solutions will consult & advise key business stakeholders such as, Commercial, Quality Management, R&D, Product Management & the Executive Committee on all IT business solutions matters.

The Head of IT Business Solutions will focus on ensuring that the business is provided with best-fit IT business solutions which complement & facilitate the successful delivery of key strategic goal & in parallel, the Head of IT Business Solutions will oversee the maintenance & development of our corporate solutions & applications landscape, while also managing & developing key 3rd party relationships.  The Head of IT Business Solutions will collaborate with the functional business departments as well as external experts in order to ensure that our business can perform & develop effectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the IT Business Solutions team, including recruitment, development & objective setting,
  • You will establish, manage & develop all aspects of a new IT Business Solutions.
  • You will establish & align strategic direction for IT Business Solutions,
  • You will define, measure & meet key operational metrics.
  • You will define, implement, & govern policies & practices in terms of all aspects of IT Business Solutions.
  • You will partner with stakeholders and influence to promote simplification, standardization and innovation in all areas of IT Business Solutions.
  • You will investigate the business needs & potential solutions for improvements in all aspect of IT Business Solutions.
  • You will oversee identification, selection & implementation of IT Business Solutions, applications & services,
  • You will collaborate & work with the company Information Security Officer on all aspects of IT security risk & identify & implement mitigating solutions.

Experience Required

  • A min of 5+ years demonstrable experience implementing & managing IT Business Solutions & services in a corporate environment.
  • Strong acumen for stakeholder management and influencing.

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • A min of 5+ years demonstrable experience implementing & managing IT Business Solutions & services in a corporate environment.

Educational Requirements

3rd level qualification in IT, Business or equivalent, relevant discipline.

From the initial discussion about my role through, the vetting, onboarding and right through to the invoicing and payment process the experience with Eolas has been first rate. Luke helped me highlight the items on the CV that the client was looking for and Stephen gave me solid advice about how to invoice in Euros from a UK company. Stephen advised me to open a euro account. Advice which I initially ignored...at my cost...the Royal Bank of Scotland creamed 4.6% of my first invoice!
