Job Description

My Dublin based client is looking for a Head of IT to join the team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

You will be responsible managing all operational aspects of the business, planning/leading the design, development and QA to meet company goals.

Responsibilities:

-Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Technology on strategic and tactical planning
-Define product roadmaps, schedules and release scope and ensure that features developed are delivered on time and meet business and customer requirements
-Manage and communicate with senior stakeholders to ensure timely and need based delivery and expectations
-Own the end to end operational performance of the business
-Ensure compliance with quality management standards across the technology group
-Establish and own organisation-wide IT infrastructure including hosting environments
-Maintain ownership of department budgets and relevant KPIs
-Lead and mentor the Product Development teams and lead architectural design and decisions
-Own the Software Development Life Cycle and Product Development processes
-Deliver best in class technical solutions to support the business strategy and needs
-Manage all services and support deliverables and processes
-Be responsible for cyber security and awareness within the organization
-Manage cross-country deliveries and multiple projects simultaneously
-Recruit and retain top talent to build a strong team in a competitive environment
-Take full responsibility for services and support delivery timelines and overall quality

Experience:

-Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects
-5+ years proven ability to recruit and manage technical teams (including performance management)
-BSc in Computer science or equivalent degree supported with relevant work experience
-10+ years of relevant hands-on work experience in software engineering
-Solid track record demonstrating technical capacity (technical vision, architecture, etc)
-Proven track record of contributing on strategic and operational level
-Proven ability to adhere to financial budgets, allocated resources and timelines
-Communication proficiency on senior level
