Job Description

My client is actively recruiting a Head of Change Management Office to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Head of the Change Management Office is a senior role, overall responsible for the creation, development, and management of a dedicated centre of excellence and pool of resources that brings together our change delivery capabilities into a single team.
  • Empowered to drive for best practice, standard ways of working and will work closely with business stakeholders, IT Business Partners and Platform Team leads to lead in the successful delivery of all cross platform and strategic change.
  • Ensure that we plan and deliver change in the most efficient and effective way, maximising the return on investment we achieve, and bringing in not just IT change leadership but also incorporating business change leadership into the team to ensure an holistic approach to the delivery of value and business outcomes.
  • Manage IT investment budgets, deliver analytics and reporting to ensure transparency, manage communication plans.
  • Formalise resource planning throughout IT to avoid bottlenecks and sequencing issues.
  • Minimalize external costs around delivering change. Drive new ways of delivering change and securing higher ROI and stakeholder engagement/alignment.
  • Lead the CMO in a matrix organisation
  • Functional leadership of Program, Portfolio and Project Management
  • Recruit and develop change delivery resources, both internal and external
  • Business Change Management
  • Change Delivery Strategy, Governance, Standards, Methodologies, Tooling
  • Resource Planning
  • Budget & Risk Management
  • Cross change initiative dependency management
  • Steering committees
  • Change, KPI, Progress, Outcome, Value reporting & analytics

  • Change Communications


  • Develop and when necessary recruit team members aligned to the demand for delivery of change
  • Mentor and support learning and development needs of team members
  • Review, select and manage change delivery resources from external partners
  • Ensure the following for the company:
    • High retention;
    • High employee engagement;
    • Clear development plans;
    • High and increasing ROI from change delivery;
    • Strong supplier/partner relations;
    • Right resource availability (right person, right time)


  • Develop the overarching strategy for the delivery of change and the management of the change pipelines
  • Develop the necessary standards, methodologies and tooling options and drive training and consistent usage
  • Establish and manage resource, budget, risk and dependency planning
  • Establish the framework for change control
  • Ensure the following for the company:
    • Clear, transparent, broadly understood management and prioritisation of the change pipelines.
    • Consistent delivery of business outcomes with high NPS scores and increasing ROI.
    • All risks mitigated or accepted; all dependencies managed without surprise.


  • Support the development of business cases/value propositions
  • Manage and lead effective change preparation process and support any relevant commercial negotiations
  • Embed business change management in all change initiatives
  • Establish project/change management structures/reporting/steering committees
  • Support the monitoring, reporting and communications of all change delivery
  • Ensure the highest quality standards of change delivery and testing
  • Act as the escalation point for any change delivery issue, supporting course corrections as required
  • Ensure the following for the company:
    • Predictable outcomes,
    • limited go live issues,
    • clear project structures,
    • standard and consistent change reporting,
    • limited projects not on green and off green for short periods,
    • high adoption of delivered change,
    • increasing ROI


  • Responsible for effective transition management to operations
  • Lead and organise post change reviews and lessons learned
  • Support post change value proposition review and benefits realisation
  • Lead post change adoption review and correction where needed
  • Ensure the following for the company:
    • Smooth transition of change into operations with limited issues and clear transfer of ownership,
    • updated value propositions with clear measured outcomes post change, lessons
    • lessons learned process mature and established,
    • high level of change adoption and increasing ROI.

Experience Required

  • 10 years + of Project/Programme delivery experience
  • Team leadership experience
  • Experience with multiple methods of change delivery
  • Owning and managing an investment budget
  • Experience partnering with and leading third party change delivery teams
  • Previous experience setting up or running a PMO
  • Business change management experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma
  • Customer centered design

From the initial discussion about my role through, the vetting, onboarding and right through to the invoicing and payment process the experience with Eolas has been first rate. Luke helped me highlight the items on the CV that the client was looking for and Stephen gave me solid advice about how to invoice in Euros from a UK company.
