Job Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture:
- Leading the identification & analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical & solution architecture requirements; analysing the industry, technology & market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise
- Leading & facilitating the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision-making for the enterprise
- Leading the development of an implementation plan for the EA based on business requirements and IT strategies; overseeing EA implementation, ongoing EA refinement activities, the documentation of all EA design & analysis work
- You will be responsible for driving the development & maintenance of Architecture principles, policies, standards, frameworks & guidelines
- Consulting with program/project teams to fit solutions to architecture across all viewpoints
- Partner closely with the Business teams to ensure we deliver the right architectural strategies & outcomes that are aligned across our business
- Design & prototype platform architectures to enable the digital adoption
- Work closely with the IT team, business teams, & supporting functions to create the next-generation digital communications platforms to optimise efficiency & throughout for applications & will translate software development prototypes into product-enabled components
- Drive & lead communities of practice across key technology areas
Innovation:
- Supporting the Director of Innovation in identifying innovation trends & business opportunities within the market
- Development, strategising, & planning new initiatives that will drive innovation
- Supporting the creation & overseeing a comprehensive long-term innovation strategy
- Engaging with internal & external stakeholders to enhance innovative thinking around the company
- Expanding on the organisation’s long-term innovative capabilities
- Advising the senior leadership on yearly, medium-term, long-term, & future innovation goals
- Support the development of business cases, ROI models & scenario analysis
Technical Leadership:
- Lead & motivate the team, managing the performance & development of direct reports, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction. Ensure robust succession planning & uses talent management strategies to build & retain the capability
- Provide leadership to the design team, collaborating across organisational boundraies to ensure optimal outcomes across an international environment
- Manage & grow a new architectural team, provide direction & prioritisation on initiatives
Experience Required
- A minimum of 10 years of experience designing & building high-volume platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in managing & executing successful architecture strategies, including Data Integration strategies for Cloud (SaaS) & applications based on Micro Services Architecture
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile & SDLC delivery frameworks, systems development concepts, implementation methodology & business analysis
- Extensive project management & cross-functional team leadership experience. Detail-orientated with excellent written & oral communication skills
- Significant experience & a proven track record of developing, leading, & implementing IT vision & strategy in large complex organisations
- Significant experience & a proven track record of developing, leading & implementing
- Enterprise Architecture practices across software development, application & infrastructure technologies in large complex organisations, preferably across multiple geographies
- Expert level of knowledge of IT strategy formulation, governance frameworks & architecture
- Expert level of knowledge of IT Enterprise Architecture
- Experience leading & overseeing substantial technology change & transformation programs & initiatives and associated spending & budgets
- Deep knowledge & understanding of IT governance & risk & operational risk
- Exposure to an environment with Board & regulatory oversight
- Excellent commercial acumen & ability to translate business objectives into IT strategy & roadmaps through to implementation
- Direct experience with financial management issues & activities, preparing budgets & forecasts based on operational requirements
- Strong knowledge of product & systems life cycles
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Strong security and data protection awareness relating to GDPR would be an advantage
- Experience with telecommunications will be a plus
- Experience in full-stack development will be a plus
- Proficient user of Ms Office
Educational Requirements
- A degree in a technical or IT subject or comparable experience gained from a related role
