Our client is seeking a Global Head of IT Applications. A real self-starter who can drive the below areas within their global IT team. The role will involve People Management – team of 5-10 Globally. The role will be fully remote with some travel required when needed to their global sites.

Key Pillars of the role:

• Integration Background is Key ( SOA/ Mulesoft or Similar integration background) – Must have a strong career background in Enterprise Service Bus Software (ESB)
• Cloud Strategy Background
• Data / ETL Background
• Services Delivery / ITIL Background/ 3rd party Vendors
• Project Management skills
• People management skills

Main Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

• Develop and manage team members, enabling them to take ownership and accountability in a service-oriented environment.
• Foster a business-oriented culture driven by continual service improvement techniques.
• Provide leadership experience to drive technical governance, innovation, and on-time delivery of critical projects.
• Act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and catalyst for change.
• Serve as a technical expert and resource across multiple disciplines.
• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders and IT colleagues to ensure effective solutions that address strategic needs.

Technology Integration and Delivery:

• Guide the Integration team on best practices and architecture for integration using the MuleSoft platform.
• Oversee the design of reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes for API and integration projects.
• Ensure all solution deliveries meet standards for security, performance, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Cloud Technology Strategy:

• Develop technology roadmaps aligned with IT Business Services team’s priorities and strategy.
• Oversee the provision of a reliable and expanding set of data warehouse and ETL capabilities to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure Lead to drive standardization and cloud adoption in the global infrastructure roadmap.

Change Control and Emerging Technologies:

• Participate in the development of change control standards, processes, and IT strategy.
• Provide guidance on emerging technologies that can enhance global IT Business capabilities.
• Educational Requirements: A degree in a related discipline or relevant experience.
