About this role:
This opportunity is for an experienced front end developer who is looking to play a key role in a fast moving software company in Dublin city center. Using the latest web technologies to build a market leading platform you will have a unique chance to be part of a great company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with analysts, designers, and developers to produce website wire-frames, converting these into working prototypes and refining these into templates that can be applied across the suite of products
- Work closely with the CTO to help build the brand by using cutting edge web technologies to create innovative websites for your partners
- Help shape the design and development of a market leading platform which will be used to deliver business services to a variety of organisations.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 3 years’ web development experience (specifically in JavaScript, JQuery HTML / HTML5, CSS);
- Experience in designing responsive and accessible web applications and websites;
- Demonstrable ability to develop efficient, highly optimised and clear code;
- Experience of working with Front-End Frameworks e.g. JQuery, BootStrap, Angular, etc;
- Development experience with MVC Frameworks (for example Grails);
- User Experience (UX) and User Interface design skills – for websites and business applications (mainly imaginative, responsive websites and web applications but some mobile applications experience would also be useful. We’re not looking for pure mobile application developers);
- The ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques;
- The ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
An added bonus would be:
- Knowledge of JSON and its use in Web Applications;
- Experience of how to design responsive and accessible “templates” (e.g. like those at Theme Forest) from scratch;
- Experience of designing the look and feel of dynamic Web Applications;
- Some knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and other design tools;
- An understanding of how to connect back-end and front-end technologies;
- Experience of working with JavaScript or similar libraries to produce data visualizations
