My Dublin based client is currently recruiting for a Firmware Engineer to join the team on a perm basis. This role will be working off a hybrid model.

My Dublin based client is currently recruiting for a Firmware Engineer to join the team on a perm basis. This role will be working off a hybrid model. The Firmware Engineer will be designing & implementing software for embedded intrusion & access control systems. You will develop the code in the C language and will be testing and debugging system software.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will design and implementation of embedded product features
  • You will support with QA to analyse, debug & implement solutions
  • Interface with hardware design & development
  • Review code & design
  • You will work with production to help deploy products
  • The creation of technical documentation for firmware

Experience Required

  • A min of 3 years post graduate experience in firmware development, including:
  • Programming in c-language
  • Microprocessor research and design
  • 32-bit microprocessor or ARM design experience
  • RTOS experience
  • Have experience with source code control
  • Have experience with JTAG debugging
  • Solid programming in C-language
  • Good understanding of reading microprocessor schematics
  • A good understanding of some of the following would be an advantage: USB, TCP/IP, RS485, GSM, i2C, SPI

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Solid programming in C-language

Educational Requirements

  • Electronic Engineering Degree or equivalent
