Field Service Engineer

My Dublin based client is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities

• Commission, install, implement, and maintain hardware and software products including POS systems, scales, industrial weigh equipment, electronic shelf edge labels and retail software solutions
• Perform preventative maintenance activities
• Carry out customer site visits
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve product faults by phone, email and on site
• Provide technical maintenance for hardware and software products and components
• Carry out workshop and on-site repair of products
• Work on systems and incidents with both relatively low and high complexity
• Provide back-up service support outside of defined region
• Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and spare part stock according to defined procedures
• Complete work sheets, log and track ticket activity via electronic Call Management System
• Work closely with colleagues from other areas of the business to contribute to product development, business development and customer experience rating

Experience Required

• Full training will be provided, however, 3+ years of relevant field-based work experience is a distinct advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy and resourcefulness
• Focussed on delivering a best-in-class customer experience
• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide

Essential and Desirable Skills

Full driver’s license is essential

Computer Science Degree or relevant
