Job Description

Enterprise Architect role available with top Financial Services Company in Dublin 1.

Reporting to the Head of IT, the Enterprise Architect’s role is to ensure that technology and application platforms are scalable, extensible and cost effective in line with business growth strategy, customer needs and the market requirements. It includes development and implementation of the necessary target architecture, platform road maps and standards for current legacy solutions and all new requirements.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Platform strategy – Define a scalable, agile, extensible and cost effective technology platform strategy in line with the overall business strategy
  • Solution design / architecture – Own and align all high level and detailed design changes in line with strategy and customer expectation before handover to team of 50+ internal IT developers
  • Technology roadmap – Own the change roadmap, productise & harmonise existing solutions and extend product offering
  • Leadership – Provide direction and support for team of Architects and Solution Designers
  • Operational Excellence – drive maturity of people, process and technology solutions under their team remit and extend overall organisational best practice implementation

 Preferred Experience

This is a senior appointment adding further point expertise and industry best practice to continue the transformation of the current approach to development its intellectual property.

  • Current primary technologies
    • Microsoft Technologies using a Visual Studio Development Environment and SQL Server
    • Asp.net, VB.net, COBOL & C#
  • Transformation
    • Proven ability to lead a transformation journey
  • Leadership
    • A proven track record in leading IT teams
  • Education / Qualification
    • 3rd level degree in Information Technology or other with significant IT exposure
    • Relevant industry / professional qualification
  • Experience
  • Ideally 5+ years as an IT architect in a financial services domain
  • 10+ years IT technical leadership ideally in development in a financial services domain
