Job Description

Our large Financial services client based in Dublin are looking for an embedded software engineer to join their team on a permanent basis

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance solutions using C, C++, or Python
  • Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
  • Support the standardisation process and verification activities
  • Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
  • Integrate and validate new product designs
  • Provide post production support
  • Understand and comply with quality management processes
  • Provide technical support to customers as required

Experience Required

  • 3+ years’ experience in embedded engineering
  • Good experience programming in embedded C / C++ / Python
  • Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
  • Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
  • Experience with some debugging tools
  • Git (Gitlab) experience as well as exposure to container tools like Docker is beneficial
  • Strong documentation and writing skills

Educational Requirements

  • Third level degree in Computer Science or another relevant field

From the initial discussion about my role through, the vetting, onboarding and right through to the invoicing and payment process the experience with Eolas has been first rate. Luke helped me highlight the items on the CV that the client was looking for and Stephen gave me solid advice about how to invoice in Euros from a UK company.
