Job Description

My Dublin based client is looking for experience Embedded engineers to join an expanding team. Excellent package on offer for the right candidate.

Department/Environment:

Core Embedded Linux Software Development in DUBLIN R&D office.
This office is a centre of excellence office w.r.t. Linux
Positions report to core team leads also in DUBLIN.
Works with other development centres worldwide in USA and Europe.
Works closely with local and global SQA departments and regional offices

 

Main Tasks:

Software Design and Development on Embedded Linux based electronic systems
Adhere to R&D software development process
Own the design and delivery of new S/W features and new hardware support
Root cause analysis and resolution of issues seen in product QA and deployment

 

Qualification:

Minimum 4 year primary degree in computer science or equivalent
4+ years working in Linux development environment.
Fluent in C programming on Linux
Experience in Linux Shell Scripting
Experience with source control systems (e.g. GIT)
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

 

Desirable: Experience in

Embedded Linux development
Linux driver development
Security/Encryption technologies
Linux Audio/Video/USB/Bluetooth/Wifi driver experience
Familiar with
Software development on Android based systems
Software development on iOS based systems

 

Candidate should be willing for some international travel.
