Job Description

My Dublin based client is looking for an experienced DevOps/Release Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.

DevOps/Release Manager

  • Supporting build and release processes of C#.NET for multiple environments to an integration layer, to test and production websites hosted externally, in AWS, Azure and internally.
  • Support release process for Salesforce CRM system.
  • Understand the wider Configuration Management discipline from initiation of change to deployment
  • Review of TFS/VSTS and how we release software – implement improvements with each component
  • Automate release process for Oracle DB changes and stored procedures
  • Help migrate from a waterfall approach in TFS/VSTS to an Agile one, allowing parallel development as against the single development currently implemented
  • Improve release scripts, currently written in Powershell and CMD or replace with out-of-box solutions e.g. MS Release Manager
  • Release Polaris changes to production servers – rate changes, rule changes, dictionary changes, etc.
  • Automate the Polaris release process for rate changes
  • Supporting software releases and production changes out of hours
  • Automation of existing manual operations and process
  • Experience of working either as a release engineer or having previously worked as a developer is desirable.

Configuration Manager

  • Create new websites and maintain existing website, including those hosted in Amazon AWS and shortly in Azure
  • Adding/renewing IIS and Apache Tomcat certificates
  • Configure IIS, including IIS rewrite/redirect rule (URL ReWrite), whitelisting, performance tuning, security tweaks
  • Support use of Imperva WAF
  • Maintain TFS server and build & release scripts

Support analyst

  • Monitoring & supporting of our integration layer and web platform to ensure availability 24×7
  • Monitoring of CRM infrastructure and logs, including Webmethod’s ESB, to ensure system is working and issues are identified and work with a team to resolve the issues.
  • Review our monitoring process and implement better monitoring and alerting with Appdynamics, Site24x7 or other tools
  • Develop/maintain dashboards to show service availability etc
  • Investigate incidents and identifying solutions for handover to development team.
  • Analysing web, CRM, ESB outages, and identifying solutions to remove root causes.
