DevOps Engineer

My Dublin based client is currently recruiting for a DevOps Engineer, this is a perm role and will be a hybrid model going forward.

Job Responsibilities

• You will develop services, controls & patterns for cloud solutions that enable security & privacy at scale, while ensuring adherence to best practice around system design, development, security, release, monitoring & support
• You will contribute to architectural discussions & decisions, attending stand-ups & driving progress. You will also proactively automate infrastructure & services to enable a the team to deliver value to a global enterprise
• You will planning & estimation for the programmes of work & coordinating the hosting systems development & operations.
• You will work with Product, QA & Software Development teams to drive delivery.
• You will provide hands-on expertise, including reviewing the designs & requirements as necessary
• You will promote & advocate the Agile and end to end CI/CD.

Experience Required

• A min of 3 years plus experience in software development/DevOps environments
• Proven experience in a DevOps role.
• Strong understanding of DevOps best practices in AWS environment
• Strong experience in building & deploying applications to the cloud (AWS) using cloud-native services
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
• Experience building RESTful web services

Essential and Desirable Skills

• A min of 3 years plus experience in software development/DevOps environments
• Experience with the following with MySQL, Aurora, Nginx, Hibernate, Apache, Java, Spring, Jenkins, Git

Educational Requirements

• Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in an appropriate field (Engineering, Computer Science, Science)
