DevOps Engineer

Due to continued success and growth, my client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their exciting company. My client is looking for a motivated, hardworking employee to join on a permanent basis. Roles/Responsibilities:

• To automate everything possible
• Support the rest of the engineering team and developers guiding and solving problems
• Monitoring of cloud environments (creating new alerts, creating dashboards, displaying them on screens, etc)
• Design, implement and maintenance of the cloud environments
• Patch management of images and VMs
• Application of configuration changes via the clients change control systems and processes
• Maintain SLOs/SLAs and define SLIs
• Capable of working as a team and as an individual

Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role
• Project Management skills
• BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Scripting experience (Powershell and Bash)
• Exposure to managing cloud platforms, AWS/ GCE/ Azure (ideally AWS)
• Windows Server and Linux (AWS Linux and Ubuntu)
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (IP, HTTP, DNS, etc)
• Familiar with .NET, Packer, Terraform, AppVeyor, Vault)
• Conscious of the best security practices

Educational Requirements:

• Third level degree
