DevOps Engineer (Cloud) – Mid Level

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for cloud infrastructure setup ensuring stability, scaling, security of the company platforms
• Responsible for the deployment of builds to various servers and EXE & APK builds to various online stores
• Responsible for infrastructure planning, testing and development
• Managing and deploying AWS Load Balancers, CloudFront & S3
• Work closely with Senior Management, Product, Design & Developer teams
• Implement cost optimisation processes
• Liaise with clients and third party companies

Experience Required

• 3+ years industry experience
• Prior experience in Systems Engineering/DevOps and managing large-scale infrastructure at a cloud computing or managed services provider setting is highly desirable in both a public and private cloud implementation setting
• Experience infrastructure as a code
• Strong understanding of cloud architectures and implementation best practices
• Strong understanding of automation tools
• Excellent communication skills

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Experience with cloud hosting providers – AWS ideally
• CI/CD experience is essential
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Raygun, Nagios)
• Experience with one or more of those management and provisioning tools (e.g. chef, puppet, cloud formation, ansible, terraform, SaltStack)
• Working knowledge of Docker containers, Kubernetes
• Experience using version control platforms (e.g. GIT, SVN, Perforce, TFVC)
• A deep understanding of RESTful APIs
• Experience setting up, maintaining, and backing up relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Programming language experience (Node.JS, JavaScript, PHP)  – bonus to have
• Experience working with JIRA or Confluence – bonus to have

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in a computer science related course
