My Dublin based client is looking for a Data Protection Specialist/Privacy Specialist to join the team for a permanent position. Your reporting line will be into the Data Protection Officer.
-Ensure that data protection and privacy issues are dealt with in compliance with the overall company Privacy Management Policy and regulatory requirements
-Incorporate the company’s privacy baseline requirements into processes and operationalise these where possible through the use of online platforms
-Support the company in its commitment to process personal data honestly, ethically, with integrity, and consistently
-Support the business in incorporating privacy by design in products and services and reviewing PIAs.
-You will be knowledgeable on matters relating to the ePrivacy Regulation.
-You will maintain the privacy risk register.
-Maintain records of personal data processing that the company undertakes as controller and as processor.
-Complete an annual review of High Risk Data Processing Activities.
-Provide advice in relation to reported incidents and liaise with the Data Protection Commission where necessary and maintain log of data breaches.
-You will provide monthly reports on volume of data breaches, PIAs, new and closed privacy risks.
-Build awareness and train teams on data protection and privacy issues including the continued development of the privacy data governance community.
-Respond to personal data disclosure requests, court orders and customer complaints.
-You will participate in and contribute to the Group-wide Privacy Leadership Team through sharing of best practice.
-3rd level degree
-Previous expertise and experience in the area of data protection and privacy is essential
-Ability to work cross functionally
-Experience in developing and operationalising processes
-Strong communication skills.
-Ability to deliver concise and clear advice and training
