Data Engineer – Cloud Solutions

My Dublin-based client is rapidly expanding their international customer base and shows no signs of stopping. As a result, they are further developing their software and data solutions and now require a Data Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

This is a technical data engineer role, where you will combine your expertise in programming and database management. You must be experienced in Python programming and you must have previously worked within a cloud environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud-based and data-driven solutions for a fast-paced organisation.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL and data acquisition processes.
• Conduct a variety of data-focused tasks including: query tuning, stored procedure, dashboarding, and data structure design.
• Provide recommendations and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with various teams locally and internationally.

Experience Required

• 3+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer / Python Developer
• Python programming experience is essential
• Experience working in a cloud environment, especially AWS
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, data cleansing, database management, etc

• Python programming – Essential

• AWS (Lambda, Glue, S3, RDS)
• Database skills (MySQL)

Educational Requirements

• Third level degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or another related field
