My South Dublin client is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers a hybrid working model. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Job Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements & data sets into high quality insights & reporting that will solve problems and identify business opportunities
- Responsible for data collection, data manipulation, ETL, data reconciliation, & data reporting
- Contribute to requirements gathering, report creation, testing & UAT, training and documentation
- Collaborate with developers, testers, & end users in order to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
- Clearly present data-driven results and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to building and automating reports, pipelines, and dashboards
- Enrich automated reporting solutions with the analytical insight that leads to action and improvements in business performance
- Monitor and address problems in order to implement required fixes
- Produce monthly MI reports and ad-hoc reporting requests
- Deliver requirements and projects within the agreed timelines
- Assist with defining, implementing, and standardizing robust processes for data management, governance, and reporting
- Promote a culture of using data to ensure decisions are driven by fact-based insights
- Design and implement methods to ensure consistent application and use of analytics for the organization
Experience Required
- At least 5+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting
- Strong experience in SQL querying and scripting, SQL Server Management Studio (e.g. Export/Import, stored procedures, CTE’s, updates, reconciliation, data mining, data segmentation)
- Experience in BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView
- Experience in statistical analysis languages such as Python, R, etc.
- Proven ability to develop calculations to interpret data sets and produce insights
- Industry knowledge of Financial Services would be highly desirable
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Strong quantitative analysis skills
- Good understanding of database concepts and structure
- Knowledge of business intelligence strategies in relation to data analytics
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work on own initiative
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Data Analytics, or similar
