Data Analyst

The Westmeath client is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation within a driven Data team that delivers innovative Data solutions for the business.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret a variety of data sets in order to deliver high quality insights & reporting for the business
• Proactively design and deliver the analytical output that will drive business performance for colleagues and clients across the business
• Work as a key member of the Data Analytics team and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Respond to and deliver on requests for data insights, analysis, and reporting
• Deliver best practice solutions that will contribute to the strategic objectives of the business

Experience Required

• At least 5+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting
• Strong experience in data querying, data mining, data segmentation, etc.
• Excellent experience in SQL and statistical analysis languages such as Python, R, etc.
• Proven ability to develop calculations to interpret data sets and produce insights
• Experience in BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik
• Industry knowledge of Financial Services would be highly desirable

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Strong quantitative analysis skills
• Good understanding of database concepts and structure
• Knowledge of business intelligence strategies in relation to data analytics
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Data Analytics, or similar
