Job Description
Dublin South Client is looking for a Project Manager (Risk/Security experience) to join its team on a 6 month daily rate contract.
Job Responsibilities
- Define, own, plan and manage IT projects from initiation through to operational support, within agreed timescales & budget.
- Manage company projects and agree specifications, high level functionality, impact analyses and process changes in conjunction with the Business owners
- Document project terms of reference for new projects including background, scope, objectives, assumptions and critical success factors and manage project risks and issues.
- Enforce change control in line with change management procedures
- Ensure the systems and solutions delivered meet the strategic direction of the company as well as meeting the business needs
- Prepare project plans and present business cases for management approval
- Track and report on progress to plan and analyse the actual performance against the plan and make adjustments consistent with plan objectives
- Involve functional/technical expertise in design reviews and key decisions as well as risk strategies
- Arbitrate and resolve conflict and interface problems within the project, including vendor interfaces
- Conduct post implementation review of projects
- Select methodologies that are appropriate to the project such as Agile, Waterfall, Kanban
Experience Required
- Ideally 10 years experience in the planning and delivery of complex technical projects
- Ideally 10 years relevant experience Project Management qualification in PRINCE2 or PMI is highly desirable
- Strong customer and client relationship management focus
- Experience of delivering with 3rd party suppliers and working with onshore/offshore partners
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Full knowledge of the SDLC in both Agile Kanban and Waterfall methodologies
- Proven experience of project management techniques including PRINCE2, PMI, SCRUM
- Change Management Skills
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes
- Experience of Security & Risk Management across various levels of projects and organisations
Educational Requirements
- Third level qualification in IT or equivalent is a plus
