Job Description

My Dublin West based client is recruiting for a Customer Support Analyst to join the team. This role is on a permanent basis.

Overview

My client in Parkwest is recruiting for a Customer Support Analyst X 2 to join the team. These role are on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join an established business support team, providing telephone and remote support to clients in Ireland and the UK.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
  • Candidates should have experience with Windows operating systems, printing and MSOffice.
  • Basic understanding of windows networking (IP, DHCP, DNS etc.)
  • Computer Science background is a plus
  • Effective time management skills; must be able to handle multi-tasking and pressure of deadlines
  • Any experience with Crystal Reports or SQL would be helpful but not necessary.

Experience

  • Time spent within a telephone helpdesk function with a good experience of supporting end users of IT services would be an advantage.
  • Experience with financial software would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Logging of all calls in the helpdesk application
  • Providing first/second line technical support
  • Manage his or her call queue and prioritise efficiently and effectively
  • Working well and communicating within the Support team, including the transfer of knowledge.
  • Candidates should display an ability to learn on the job, to work on their own initiative and be willing to expand their expertise.

The successful candidate will be working in a support team of eight people providing the following key functions:-

  •   Responding to Application Support issues
  •   Responding to Network Support issues
  •   Responding to Operating System Support issues
  •   Assisting in Application Installations both remotely and on-site
  •   Providing remote and on-site training to clients
  •   Working with the development team on New Application Functionality
