Job Description

My client is looking for a Contract Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract based in Dublin 1

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal. With an ability to innovate, they will be highly organised and possess advanced analytical and problem solving skills.

The candidate should have relevant experience (business analysis, project management or other forms of participation in change initiatives), ideally with the majority of that gained within the investment management / financial sector.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of some or all of the following areas within an investment management business:

  • Extensive domain knowledge of Investments business & processes.
  • Business Analysis, Solution Design and Validation
  • Project Management skills.
  • Awareness of industry standards with respect to application/business services, and reference models in the business domain.
  • Awareness of industry trends with regard to servicing of investment management clients.
  • Experience in analysis of large system/platform selections and migrations
  • Skills in the field of Business/Enterprise Architecture an advantage
  • Experience of Change Management and Test Management tools
  • Familiar with Six Sigma process redesign or equivalent methodology

Essential criteria

4/5 year’s relevant experience (business analysis, project management or other participation in change initiatives), ideally with the majority of that gained within the investment management / financial sector.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience of Project Management and Application Delivery methodologies and deep understanding of project management functions and artefacts
  • Capacity to get up to speed quickly with existing project management and governance standards.
  • Experience and proven ability to manage large and complex application delivery projects
  • Asset Management or other Financial Services industry experience.
