My client has re-platformed its business applications and requires a Configuration, Change and Release Manager. The Configuration, Change & Release Manager will be responsible for the integrity of the Application and Database environments, managing the test and production environments including deploying releases as well as overseeing and assessing all Requests for Change (RFC) to the Application and Infrastructure. The Configuration, Change & Release Manager will ensure standardised methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all Changes to Configuration Items (CI) through effective Release Management and will promote best practices of release and environment management.
This is a hands-on technical role, the overall goal being to deliver efficient, timely change while minimising the impact of Change related incidents upon IT service quality and consequently to improve the day-to-day operations. The Release Manager will also manage relationships with third parties and stakeholders and work closely with internal development and test teams.
