Job Description

My Dublin based client is looking to add a Compliance Manager to their team on a 12 month contract basis.

The Role:

As Compliance Manager you will:

  • Be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with policies and procedures
  • Liaising with auditors verifying compliance against the ISAE 3402 standard.
  • Review supplier adherence to policies and record verification in a format compliant with the demands of the standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, testing and reporting that business comply with applicable legislation, regulation, internal rules and standards.
  • Determine the impact assessment of current and new regulation on business activities and products
  • Guide the development and maintenance of an operating framework for identification, management, monitoring and reporting of compliance risks and issues.
  • Identify, escalate and report any issues where non-compliance is not addressed.
  • Collaborate with and advice business and management on all compliance issues.
  • Proactively drive identification, assessment, mitigation and reporting of compliance risks.
  • Train employees in compliance disciplines with attention to the key risk areas.
  • Stay abreast of all legislative and regulatory developments both locally and globally that might have an impact on the Business.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of business policies, processes and procedures to ensure the impact of regulatory issues can be effectively assessed.
  • Act as mentor for colleagues by helping them and sharing knowledge.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Transport Industry is desirable.
  • Conduct the selected control activities necessary to mitigate identified compliance risk, taking any necessary actions and communicating findings to management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in IT Compliance.
  • ISAE 3402 experience a must.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and to convey the implications in a meaningful way.
  • Analytical approach and attention to detail with good organisational skills are important.
  • Strength of character and a willingness to individually challenge collective thinking.
  • Strong communication skills including an ability to concisely articulate alternative views under pressure.
  • Proven history of formation and maintenance of good relationships both inside the business and with third parties.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – ability to address audiences, broker conversations, form trusting relationships
  • Good personality, flexible, ability to deal with sudden changes in agenda, direction or speed of programs and priorities.
  • Engage in and take ownership of personal development and career planning.
