My Dublin based client is recruiting for a Commercial Contracts Solicitor (In House) to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be working on a hybrid model.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the firm’s strategic implementation through key commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with internal requirements, policies, values, and client commitments. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues across the firm, including business management, information security, and IT team leaders, and is part of the Risk & Compliance team. The team supports the firm in maintaining the highest professional standards in areas such as cyber and information security, regulatory and professional compliance, GDPR, AML, anti-bribery and corruption compliance, and ESG standards.

Job Responsibilities

Procurement Policies and Procedures

  • Formulate and implement procurement policies, procedures, and safeguards.
  • Ensure policies align with anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and GDPR requirements
  • Contract Management
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including renewals, from a risk and compliance perspective.
  • Apply strategic, risk-based principles, laws, and regulations to specific commercial requirements.
  • Secure relevant contract approvals and consents.
  • Monitor implementation and compliance of contracts.
  • Database and Audit Management
  • Centrally manage the organization’s contract database for audit and supplier management purposes.
  • Collaboration and Support
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with team members and business leaders throughout the organization.
  • Provide broader ongoing support to the Risk & Compliance team.
  • Offer general advice to the organization on regulatory, compliance, corporate governance, and data protection issues.
  • Ensure alignment with contractual and professional commitments to clients.

Experience Required

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of experience/training in a commercial law firm or in-house department.
  • Particular knowledge of IT/IP and GDPR-related issues is desirable.
  • Constructive and professional manner.
  • Proactive communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Sound commercial acumen and general business knowledge.
  • Flexibility in working arrangements open for discussion.

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of experience/training in a commercial law firm or in-house department.
