Job Responsibilities
- Advise on strategy and ways of working;
- Support the entities on cloud adoption in line with the strategy;
- Enable the ability to introduce new cloud services and at pace;
- Provide leadership in DevOps/Cloud Ops practices and technologies to European Technology;
- Build/maintain joined up community of application and infrastructure practitioners;
- Lead and participate in agreed governance structures e.g. forums, standards;
- Product Owner of a common/shared services delivery capability
- Look for opportunities to standardise services/solutions and minimise duplication;
- Ensure the catalogue of services meet the needs of the business;
- Ensure developed services are appropriately operationalised in timely manner;
- Ensure services allow consumers maximise the benefits of underlying technologies;
- Ensure services are easily consumed through repeatable and automated processes;
- Ensure that services are secure and IT risk appetite is appropriately governed;
- Ensure costs are traceable, transparent, managed and economics aligned with service benefits;
- Manage a highly skilled and sustainable delivery team;
- Develop the necessary operating model, transformation plan and people required;
- Maintain strong partnership with IT leaders and practitioners across European Technology to deliver on the above and remain aligned and
- Plan and execute the supply to meet demands.
Experience
- Demonstrable leadership in the theory & practice of Dev & Ops;
- An agile & lean mindset;
- 10-15 years+ IT experience in engineering (from either Infrastructure or Application development domains);
- Significant role in a DevOps transformation;
- Experience with range of cloud technologies e.g. Azure, AWS;
- Working with central oversight functions i.e. Finance, IT Risk & Control, Security, Operations, Audit, Procurement, Legal;
- Worked in several organisations, regulated environment desirable; and
- Working with strategic external partners/vendors;
