My South Dublin based client is looking for a Junior/Mid-Senior Developer to join their expanding team. Excellent client.

This position is an excellent chance for a C#.NET Developer to join our team. In this role you will have a chance to work on highly complex financial payment systems with interesting technical challenges. You will liaise with the development manager, solutions architect and development team in problem resolution, product design and delivery. You will also have the chance to grow into a payments expert with detailed functional knowledge of payments processing systems.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Candidate should have 3+ years of experience in full stack Web & Service based applications using Microsoft technologies using Microsoft.NET in C#
  • Proven experience with JavaScript, JQuery, CSS and HTML
  • The candidate must have experience in writing MS-SQL queries
  • Experience in using SOLID Principles and Design Patterns (IOC & Dependency Injection) and clean coding principles
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, good team player and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • The candidate must have experience in delivering projects within an Agile methodology
  • Previous experience with DDD desirable
  • Experience with database development, ideally using SQL Server

Responsibilities

  • Aid the solutions architect in product and feature design, defect resolution and overall technical direction
  • Participate in all aspects of SDLC, from requirement discovery with Product Management, planning with Development Team, development, liaising with automation engineers to ensure and enable high level of testing and QA, and finally assisting in setting up and maintaining the deployment pipeline
  • Work with business departments to scope and design and deliver web based highly secure, highly scalable internet applications
  • Proactively communicate progress, issues and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
  • Provide 3rd level production support
  • Adhere to the System Architecture, agreed System Design Principles and Coding Standards for the Applications
  • Usability and Quality are two of our fundamental engineering values, you will be responsible for upholding yourself and those around you to the highest coding standards including unit testing code for robustness, usability and reliability
  • Project tracking with Jira

Good to have

  • Experience with ASP.NET Web API
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with TeamCity and Octopus Deploy and implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • The candidate should have experience with unit testing frameworks (NUnit, NUnit Should, or any other unit testing framework)
  • Experience in Behaviour-driven development / Test driven development
  • The candidate should have knowledge of ORM (Object Relational Mapping)
  • Working experience with onsite-offshore development team members
  • Hands on experience on JQuery (experience in writing plug-ins and API) and JQuery based MVVM frameworks(Knockout.js / Angular.js)
  • Hands-on experience on Structure Map (DI/IOC) or Automapper (object-object mapper)
  • Working experience with mocking frameworks such as RhinoMocksor Moq
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services

Qualifications

  • University degree or diploma in related field or equivalent professional training and experience
