Job Description
Experienced C# Developer required for 6+ month contract with Leading Financial Services company.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, test and deploy solutions for new and existing business systems
- Develop integrations between systems on premise and cloud
- Interact extensively with relevant project stakeholders
- Critically understand the stakeholders’ operations and systems
- Maintain an appreciation of the underlying business objectives
- Elicit, understand and clarify the requirements of the stakeholders
- Contribute to the QA test scripting and execution as appropriate
- Support solution build activities
- Support and deliver knowledge transfer where appropriate
- Support the overall programme delivery
- Have the ability to work on both their own initiative and as a part of a team
- Have the ability to bring best practice software development and build techniques to our existing practices
- Is committed to deliver to a high quality and set standards
- Ability to multitask effectively, work well under pressure and meet tight and changing deadlines
Essential and Desirable Skills
- At least 5+ years relevant and proven experience
- Proficient in software development languages & databases – SQL DB, SSIS/SSRS, TFS/SVN, C#/.Net/Entity Framework, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, T-SQL (Sql Server), SSAS Tabular – Dax and Powershell
- Experienced in Version Control, Continuous Integration/Build, Code Analysis and Test Management tools
- Experience in reporting tools Power BI and Excel Power Query/Power Pivot desirable
- Strong data analysis skills and experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Sound knowledge of software engineering principles and theory
- Strong ability to interact with other technology specialists – architecture, infrastructure, analysts, project management
- Experience of waterfall and agile Software Development Life Cycles (e.g. SCRUM).
