Job Description

My South East of Ireland client is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to stakeholders on business processes and systems issues
  • Undertaking research and providing analysis as needed to support Management in decision making
  • Developing business requirements for the business/technology solutions that will allow the client and internal customer departments to become more efficient and effective
  • Developing and executing proposed business and technical solutions
  • Documenting flows and procedures for Performance Quality as a results of implementations and ensuring the quality of solutions are delivered
  • Integrating continuous improvement plans
  • Estimating implementation costs and efforts

Experience Required

  • Minimum 8 years work experience in systems analysis and business solutions development
  • Minimum 8 years experience in life insurance with developing life insurance illustration software
  • Experience or education in programming
  • Project Management experience

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Ability to demonstrate life insurance and annuity industry knowledge
  • Basic technical understanding of PC, client/server, and network environments, along with the Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel, Access, etc)
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent relationship management skills with the ability to interact with all level of stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to develop industry-related knowledge
  • Proven application of analytical skills and solution focused mindset
  • Potential travel of up to 10% may be required for this job

Educational Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or relevant worked experience along with a high school education
