Job Description

My large Financial Services client is looking for a Business Analyst who will be responsible for analysing, developing and ensuring agreement on business and functional requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in relevant project ceremonies: standups, backlog requirement sessions, sprint planning, retrospectives and sprint reviews
  • Work alongside the Project Manager, Product Owner and other project team members to ensure successful delivery of the projects
  • Assist in provision of project artefacts required to support training content and planning
  • Ability to work on Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid type projects
  • Prepare, schedule, co-ordinate and facilitate requirements gathering sessions including reviewing and assessing the current state and developing and prioritising the requirements for the future state
  • Support change request management throughout the lifecycle of developments, projects and operational changes including the updating of relevant artefacts.
  • Take an active role in solution design ensuring cross system impacts are assessed and documented
  • Identifying gaps and potential risks within current and designed processes
  • Work alongside Compliance teams ensuring all content and functionality adheres to company standards

Experience Required

  • 5+ years relevant experience in a business role
  • Understanding of project management lifecycle and methodologies
  • Experience and understanding of insurance products

  • Ability to challenge stakeholders to ensure the most appropriate solution is achieved
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build working relationships

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative

Educational Requirements

  • A relevant Third Level degree or relevant professional qualification (such as CIP/Grandfathered)
