My top international client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis

Business Analyst

My Client has approved a major transformation programme which will standardised its approach to planning, manufacturing, supply chain and financial management across its global subsidiaries. The programme will run for 4-5 years, during which the programme is tasked with implementing a world class ERP solution. In addition, the programme is responsible for redefining business processes to ensure adherence to industry best practice

The Business Process Analyst (Finance) is a core team member of the Programme whose role is to deliver the Sales and Logistics business process re-design via a world class ERP solution to my client subsidiaries across the globe

Key accountabilities are:

  • Business processes definition – Documenting AS-IS and TO BE work flows
  • Business change – working with local stakeholders to identify business changes as a result of the programme and ensure the changes are fed to the Project Management/ Group Stakeholders network to co-ordinate their delivery through the release
    • Interfaces – identify and work with the development stream to specify and develop necessary interfaces, and testing with appropriate 3rd parties or internal teams
    • Testing – work with business stakeholders to define and execute test scenarios
    • Training – write detailed training material and undertake end user training
  • Data migration & cutover – work with the programme team and group data management teams to ensure data changes are understood. Support the data migration & cutover activities

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the financial management and business accounting (order to cash, procure to pay, record to report)
  • Ability to review existing business processes and make recommendations for areas of improvement
  • Ability to work with an IT team to turn business requirements into system specifications
  • Create effective test plans to be passed to a test team for completion
  • Handover / knowledge transfer / training to business users
  • Strong written skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas simply
  • PC literate, experience of Microsoft Office especially MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience of presenting on a 1:1 basis and to groups
  • Determined to identify solutions and prepared to overcome obstacles to follow through plans to completion; focussed on delivery
  • Appreciation of the role of systems within business operations

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in working in large transformational programmes
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Working in cross-functional teams
  • Working in multi-national / multi-lingual teams
  • Understanding of the impact of major transformational change
  • Experience of working using an Agile methodology (tools and techniques).

Key experience required:

  • Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy
  • Experience in testing and training complex ERP solutions
  • Able to produce creative solutions from basic concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills.

The role may require foreign travel for periods of 1-4 weeks to support the roll-out of projects in international subsidiaries
