AWS Cloud Engineer

Our Dublin based client is looking for a strong and enthusiastic Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join their team. The client is making major changes to their internal systems and infrastructure and are moving to the cloud. This will be a hybrid position and offers an excellent career opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary, cross functional team to maintain, and develop cloud strategy
• Assist in the adoption of cloud products and services across the business in alignment with the business requirements
• Work closely with the product owners and development teams regarding the cloud roadmap that will affect systems and services.
• Develop and promote cloud services and products
• Work alongside stakeholders to develop cloud best practice for use across the company
• Provide an advisory function between stakeholders regarding the cloud requirements and processes

Experience Required

• 3rd level degree from a recognised institution
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with AWS public cloud services
• Someone coming from an IT Infrastructure background is preferred.
• Experience working on large scale Cloud infrastructure project
• Previous experience of service delivery management in cloud infrastructures
• Ability to work collaboratively and on own initiative
• Experience with coding languages such as Terraform would be beneficial

Essential and Desirable Skills

• AWS certification
• Terraform and/ or CloudFormation
• JIRA
