Job Description

My client is looking for an Applications Support Engineer to join their growing IT Applications team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work within the IT Applications team to support, maintain and develop all applications across the Group, including Enterprise solutions
  • Analyse business user requirements, protocols, procedures and problems
  • Assist with developing tools, processes and procedures to enhance system reliability aligned to the business strategy
  • Automate and enhance the functionality of company applications

Experience Required

  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience in applications support
  • Experience working in a complex, challenging environment with critical systems
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge around analysis, testing, design, release and support

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Able to define and guide your own work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical report writing capability
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capability

Educational Requirements

  • IT relevant Third Level Degree or similar qualification
