Application Support Engineer
Our Dublin based client is looking for an Application Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
- Managing SCCM deployments and maintenance.
- Conducting research and testing for new applications.
- Maintaining Active Directory and ensuring its optimal functionality.
- Creating and managing Group Policies.
- Handling small project delivery, managing scope, and meeting business expectations.
- Prioritizing and managing 3rd Level escalations from the IT Service Desk.
- Understanding and implementing projects and technologies on the cloud platform.
- Assisting in the management and troubleshooting of our Azure instance.
- Maintaining a high level of security awareness for all End User applications.
- Ensuring the End User desktop experience is well-maintained (Windows Updates, AV components, Applications).
- Collaborating with Information Security to handle requests effectively and to high standards.
- Involvement in planning for upgrades and migrations.
- Project management skills.
- Engagement with business stakeholders to resolve issues.
- SCCM management experience.
- Active Directory management experience.
- Group Policy management experience.
- Hold a relevant IT qualification or have plans to obtain one in the coming months.
- Demonstrated experience in small IT Project Management with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Proficient knowledge of SCCM (Deployments and Troubleshooting).
- Familiarity with Azure / Intune.
- Understanding of cloud concepts and models.
- Expertise in Active Directory & Group Policy Management.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Effective communication skills with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
