Job Description
My Financial Services client is actively recruiting a Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver quality software on budget, within planned schedule and with top quality;
- Drive increased efficiency, eradicating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse;
- Partake in strategic planning;
- Manage supply and demand for project planning;
- Plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the department;
- Provide direction and support for daily operational activities of the department;
- Work closely with decision makers in other Business areas to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization;
- Define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices as it relates to Application Development and the life cycle;
- Oversee application design, development, integration, and deployment in a distributed environment;
- Manage standards, version control and release control governance.
Experience Required
- 5+ years of application management or development, including working experience with development environments for design/analysis, release control, version control, performance considerations, affiliation with professional application development organizations.
- Ability to design and implement well-crafted, scalable, and maintainable code
- Experience of managing product life cycle including Agile and Waterfall.
- An overall solid management experience with application development in a variety of platforms/environments

Educational Requirements
