API / Mobile Developer

My Dublin based client is recruiting for a API / Mobile Developer to join the team on a perm basis. This role will be remote working initially.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop high quality & perform backend services over REST in java 8+
• Define, develop, verify & maintain mobile solutions for consumer and medical mobile
• Excellent knowledge of Java, Spring, JSON Web services, Hibernate, SQL
• Experience with Lambdas / functional programming is a plus
• Translate business requirements, user needs, & technical capabilities into designs that are visually exciting, easy to use, and engaging
• Assist in the submission of proposals on the long-term technical & architectural direction of all mobile applications products
• You will ensure sound engineering design, process & quality including unit testing.
• Assist technical architect in development of product requirements and prioritisation of technical requirements,
• Ensure all quality and people processes are adhered to Develop product development processes
• Develop and maintain internal cross-team communication channels to ensure “joined up” services internally
• Contribute to the selection and analysis of platforms for mobile application development

Experience Required

• Strong knowledge of JSON / AJAX / REST / RESTful
• SQL skills at an intermediate level minimum
• Experience within an Agile environment
• Strong awareness of industry trends
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and Experience with Git, Jenkins, JIRA

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience of API development and / or web application development

Educational Requirements

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
