My client is a leading IT product company and they are based in Dublin City Centre. My client offers and excellent salary and benefits package. Also they have an excellent work life balance. They are looking for an Android Mobile Developer and they are looking for a permanent person but might also consider a contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android mobile devices
• Standardise the apps delivering same quality and UI/UX whilst minimising duplication of effort
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features
• Unit test code for robustness, usability and general reliability
• Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs and improve application performance
• Help maintain code quality, development processes and automated testing
• Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
• 3-4 years working experience in mobile app development, demonstrating successful delivery of mobile apps integrated with cloud-based services
• Broad experience in cross-platform development
• Experience with Android SDKs
• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect apps to back-end services
• Knowledge of cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Solid understanding of the mobile development life cycle and UI/UX standards
• Experience in publishing Android apps (IOS would be nice to have as well)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ability to work in both international and multifunctional teams
