Agile Scrum Master

Job Responsibilities

• Lead a Scrum Team in the delivery of complex change initiatives using a variety of Project Delivery Frameworks
• Ensure solutions adhere to present and future business objective
• Manage system development priorities and delivery schedule
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies during the initiation, planning, execution, and closure of projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and Agile practices
• Take responsibility for ensuring that the Agile team(s) apply best of breed software engineering practices including but not limited to – Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices, unit and regression test automation, delivery of NFR, adherence to standards
• Represent the team through all areas of communication with key stakeholders including verbal, written reports, presentations, steering committees etc Deliver projects on time, on budget to the expected quality
• Conduct project ‘Lessons Learned’ and create recommendations that will improve future project delivery.

Experience Required

• 8+ years I.T. industry experience, with 3+ years’ operating as a Scrum Master
• Experience of managing multiple parties, including Senior I.S. staff, and 3rd party Vendors
• Experience in communicating and influencing at all levels within an organisation
• Good knowledge of System Architectures, Software Engineering, and DevOps / Agile practices
• Proficient knowledge of formal project management methodologies and processes.
• Working knowledge of the application development life cycle (Waterfall & Agile)
• Proficient user of MS Office tools, in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint
• Proficient user of Atlassian tools including Confluence and Jira

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Strong competence in Strategic Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Problem Solving, Working on own initiative
• Excellent professional written and verbal communicator

Educational Requirements

• Third Level Degree in Business, Finance or Technology related discipline, or similar Qualification
• Agile / Scrum Master / SAFe certification is an advantage
