Job Description

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to manage the accounts payable function. This is a full-time 12-month contract role, with review to go permanent.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process payments to suppliers as per agreed terms to ensure continuous service.
  • Negotiate and prioritise payments and credit terms.
  • Act as the point of contact for suppliers.
  • Maintain supplier accounts and ensure timely entry of payments.
  • Monitor bank accounts daily.
  • Reconcile bank accounts.
  • Allocate customer receipts.
  • Assist in cash flow and planning.
  • Prepare weekly Customers, Suppliers, and Subcontractors Aging reports.
  • Handle petty cash and expenses processes.
  • Prepare and lodge monthly RCT and VAT returns.
  • Notify Revenue of subcontractor PO’s and payments.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required when colleagues are absent.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks that may arise in the Finance Department.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Excellent system skills (MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with an accounting system (Coins, Sage, or similar).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions, routines, and standard practices.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance & accounting or relevant experience.

  • €35,000-€42,000k per annum DOE
