Test Analyst jobs usually involve testing the operation of a system or application under controlled decisions and evaluating the results. This testing can be described as a process of validating and verifying that the program, application or product in question can meet the business and technical requirements of an organisation.
A Test Analyst will have a variety of duties, typically including the preparation and maintenance of test plans, scheduling projects, conducting risk assessments, continuous testing and upgrades, liaising with suppliers, teams and team leaders and creating new test strategies.
To succeed within this role, applicants will have a detailed understanding of the various methods and processes of testing. They should be analytical and effective in their approach to daily tasks and have the ability to solve problems in an efficient way, whilst continuing to pay attention to detail.
The role may require some management of both time and people, meaning the ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to accurately assess the way in which new systems can contribute to the growth of an organisation.
