A Senior Project Manager, often shortened to Project Manager, is the individual responsible for the completion and success of a project conducted by the organisation they work for.
It will be the responsibility of the Senior Project Manager to meet the goals agreed with the client and/or organisation and conduct several risk and financial assessments throughout the duration of the project to report back to the board and/or client. The Senior Project Manager role is a highly demanding role that will require an individual with plenty of previous experience and success in similar projects to ensure the smooth-running of the project.
A Senior Project Manager must work well under pressure and be able to conduct their work, and motivate the teams they oversee, to complete works on time and to budgets where possible. They will work alongside numerous departments, from conception to release, to create a product, service or program that meets the needs and goals of the client. It is therefore fundamental that any candidates for the role can demonstrate exceptional communication and managerial skills, evident in their previous experiences.
