The role of a Sales Administrator is to deal with incoming enquiries from customers and helping the sales team with daily administration services. It is the duty of a Sales Administrator to process a high volume of product orders, as well as processing invoices for all sales transactions.
Alongside this, they are also responsible for reporting monthly sales results to other staff members. They also work closely with the sales team by supporting them with general operations to help the team reach their objectives, such as dealing with high volumes of emails and taking phone calls from customers.
A Sales Administrator must have good organisational skills and the ability to manage a number of projects at the same time are important for this role.
It is also important that Sales Administrators are detail-orientated, strong communicators and have the ability to prioritise their own workload. Candidates from an administrative or sales background are preferred, and having strong IT skills in areas such as Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems is also imperative.
