They work with client companies and build relationships to gain a better understanding of their needs and requirements. Recruitment Consultants attract candidates through networking, headhunting and through referrals.

They may also draft advertising copy for use through a range of media sources, and are also responsible for screening candidates, performing background checks on them, interviewing them and matching them to their clients.

Recruitment Consultants can also provide advice to both candidates and clients on training requirements, career opportunities and salary levels. Other responsibilities may include:

  • Visiting clients to build and develop relationships.
  • Using sales, networking, marketing techniques and business development to attract business from client companies.
  • Working towards targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, business leads generated or values to be billed to clients.
