High levels of communication are required, as, during the assessment and development process, various stakeholders will need to contribute to the aims of the addition to the system. Support and assistance must also be provided to the users once implementation has taken place; this includes the creation of documentation and guidelines.
Budgets, timescales and the operations are discussed prior to any action taking place; this will mean working closely with developers and various department managers.
For many IT Systems Analyst roles, training is provided, although a degree in subjects including business studies, business information systems or information management systems are desirable in candidates. An analytical mind that is focused on solutions will perform well in this role.
