An IT Audit is the review of internal controls and the risks within a company’s technology network. IT audits identify weaknesses in a network and involve creating action plans that prevent security breaches but also comply with the company’s procedures and government regulations.
IT Audits involve the planning and execution of internal audit procedures, which may also mean the creation of internal reports. IT Audits ensure there is a solid IT infrastructure in place, and also allow IT professionals within an organisation to co-operate with clients to devise and employ procedures and policies regarding network security issues.
