Depending on the niche skill of the applicant and job description, you may be required to create storyboards, designs, audio, programming or testing. Each role is involved in the creation and production of digital games which maybe designed for computers, consoles, mobile phones, tablets or online play. A strong interest in the games industry is essential for all roles and tasks. Game Developers need a range of skills which include, a technical mind with the ability to utilise a range of programs, effectively working in a team, solving problems, self-motivation and can work to deadlines. Often, qualifications are required, at degree level and in a subject that is relative to the role, although occasionally, previous experience and passion for the sector is adequate.
